Thrown-Together Polish Sausage Dinner

Combine sliced Polish sausage, refrigerated shredded potatoes, mushroom soup, sauerkraut & cream cheese in the crock pot to make this easy dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pkgs refrigerated (Simply Potatoes) shredded potatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 large (27 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 jar sauerkraut, drained
  • 10 to 12 Polish sausages, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (about 4 oz.)
  • Steak seasoning: (I use Weber Grind and Grill or Chicago steak seasoning)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 cups cream or milk
  • 1/2 cup butter

Method

Saute onions in butter. Add them and all other ingredients to crock pot; stir well and cook 2-3 hours on low heat setting until potatoes are done.

Notes: This is a recipe that I "threw together" and my family enjoyed it. The kids don't like sauerkraut, but they don't know it's in there.

Number of servings: 8-12
