Terri's Ribs and Barbecue Sauce

These ribs are simple to make and you get to brag about making your own sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz McCormick cocktail sauce
  • 5 cups ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons steak seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 lbs dark brown sugar
  • 4 lbs pork baby back ribs

Method

Mix first five ingredients in a medium sized sauce pan. Bring to boil, lower heat, and simmer for 5 minutes. Put ribs in a Dutch oven and brush with liberal amount of warm barbecue sauce. Add just enough water to cover. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer for 45 minutes. Remove ribs and discard the liquid. Grill the ribs brushing liberally with barbecue sauce approximately 10 minutes on each side.

Notes: Store remaining sauce in refrigerator for up to two weeks.
