Spareribs are extra moist and tender when you cook them low and slow in your crock-pot with a sweet, savory and spicy sauce blend.Ingredients
- 6 pounds pork spareribs
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 3/4 cup tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 7 oz cans chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
- 2 teaspoons finely minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt

Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a broiler pan with heavy duty foil. Spray broiler rack with nonstick cooking spray and set on top of broiler pan. Cut ribs into serving size pieces and arrange meaty side up on prepared broiler rack. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until tender. Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Place cooked ribs in bowl and toss well to coat with sauce. Transfer to a 6 quart slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
Notes: I've made huge batches of these luscious tender ribs and they are always the first potluck dish to disappear. They transport easily plus stay hot and tasty in the crock pot for easy serving. Foil lined baking pans and cooking spray make cleanup a breeze.
Number of Servings: 12-14
