These chops are smothered in an rich and creamy sauce made with mushroom soup, Italian salad dressing mix, dry sherry, and cream cheese.
 

Ingredients

  • 6 (3/4-inch thick) center cut pork loin chops
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 (0.7 oz.) pkgs. dry Italian salad dressing mix
  • 2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup dry sherry
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • Hot cooked angel hair pasta

Method

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place pork chops in a greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish. In a medium saucepan melt the butter; stir in the dry salad dressing mix. Stir in soup, sherry, water, cream cheese, and onion; pour over chops. Bake about 1 1/4 hours or until chops are done. Serve over hot cooked pasta.
