Pork Chop Bake

Boneless pork chops are baked with a mixture of butter, quick-cooking rice, onion, cream of mushroom soup, evaporated milk, and seasonings topped with cheddar cheese.
 

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops, about 3/4" thick
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 cans cream mushroom soup
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • Cavender's seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups quick-cooking rice
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese

Method

Brown pork chops in frying pan with 1 stick of butter. After browning, take out of pan and put in a baking dish or pan. Mix together mushroom soup, milk, seasoning, salt and pepper; set aside. In frying pan cook onions in remaining butter until tender. Then add to soup mixture along with rice. Put on top of chops. Then sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes, or until chops are done.

 

Notes: This is a very fast, easy recipe.
