Patsy's Christmas Meatballs


Serve these beef and pork meatballs straight out of the crock pot for a holiday party or buffet-style dinner.



Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. Ground Round  
  • 1 lb Ground Pork  
  • Season with salt, pepper, cloves (1 Tsp.)
  • 3 cloves crushed garlic,
  • 1 T. Garlic Powder  
  • 1 Large Potato Grated  
  • 1 Large Onion Chopped fine    
  • Gravy Ingredients  
  • 1 Tin Golden Mushroom Soup or Cream of Mushroom  
  • 1 Tin Ostroms Mushroom Gravy or Franco American Mushroom Gravy  
  • 1/2 Cup Red Wine  
  • 1 T. Worchestershsire Sauce  
  • 1 Oxo Cube

Method

Mix all meats, seasonings, potatoes and onions together and form small balls. Roast on broiler pan in oven for 1/2 hour (350 degrees). When cooked place in slow cooker. Make gravy with ingredients described and cover the meat balls. Slow cook and leave in cooker for the party. Small toothpicks or cocktail forks to serve.

Notes: Sometimes I add a can of mushrooms to the sauce if I am using as a main dish.
