Hot Mama Macaroni and Cheese

This macaroni and cheese is packed with cheese, hot sausage and veggies. Try this version of an old favorite for dinner tonight to spice things up.
Ingredients
- 12 oz dry elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 lb hot bulk sausage, crumbled, browned and drained
- 1 4.5 oz can diced green chilies
- 1 chopped red bell pepper
- 1 tbsp ground cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper

Prepare macaroni according to package directions. Toss with butter and set aside. In a large pot, combine milk, cream, flour, and spices. Cook over medium heat until well blended. Add red bell pepper and chilies, mixing well after each addition. Reduce heat to low and stir in sausage and cheeses. Stir often until cheese is melted and remove from heat. Carefully stir macaroni into cheese mixture.
