Tasty marinade is made of balsamic vineger, soy sauce, and coffee for an interesting flavor to accompany pork spareribs for an new and interesting new dinner idea.
Mix all ingredients except ribs in a large bowl or container. Remove half of sauce and add ribs. Cover and marinate for 12 hours or overnight. Heat grill to medium low setting and place ribs on oiled rack and grill covered for 3-4 hours, basting with sauce ribs marinated in and turning every hour. Heat reserved sauce, cut ribs unto serving sized portions and serve with heated sauce.
Notes:
Although this recipe seems time consuming, the actual hand on time is minimal. The marinade/sauce takes only minutes, overnight marinating requires no work, and the long, slow grilling can take place while puttering in the garden or enjoying family time outdoors, with an occasional peek and baste of the ribs. The deep, smoky flavor is worth every minute!
