A pork roast topped with applesauce is cooked in the crock pot along with potatoes, onion, carrots and apple slices, seasoned with garlic salt and rosemary.

  • Servings: 8-10

One 3- To 5-lb Pork Roast
Garlic Salt, to taste
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1½ cups Applesauce
2 Oranges
Red Potatoes
1 Onion
1 bag Baby Carrots
2 Red Cooking Apples

Place pork roast in crock pot. Sprinkle with garlic salt, salt and pepper. Spoon applesauce over roast. Squeeze juice from one of the oranges over roast. Slice the 2nd orange and place some of the slices over roast. (Reserve some for garnish later.) Cut potatoes into large chunks and slice onion; place in crock pot. Add baby carrots. Core and slice apples; place throughout crock pot. Sprinkle again with garlic salt, salt, and pepper; add rosemary. Cook on high heat setting for 6 to 8 hours or until roast is falling apart and veggies are cooked through.

Helpful Tips:

For an added sweetness, you may also add pineapple chunks or pineapple juice.
